Guide to connect the Hikvision DSPWA32 alarm panel with the DT42 receiver to send events.

To register a Hikvision DSKWA32 alarm panel in the DT42 receiver, the following steps must be carried out:

1. Enter the DT42 receiver and go to the section “Configuration – IP Reception.”

2. On this screen we click on the “Create” button to be able to add a new server.

3. Now we select the type of server “SIADC9” and we continue by clicking on “OK.”

4. Finally we are going to create the server noting the necessary values according to the following screen:

Port: It can be defined by the user and must also be opened in the modem or router, Protocol: TCP.
Encryption Key: it can be any user-defined number like the example shown here.

Now click on “Create”.

5. Now go to section “Alarms and Accounts – Accounts Management”.

6. Now register the account that the alarm panel will communicate with. Now click the “Create” button.

7. A screen appears in which we have to fill in the corresponding data, the most important are “Account Number” and “Name.”

It is recommended that the account number be 4 digits and in the name have our panel well identified. Account numbers must be one per panel.

We finish by clicking on “Create.”

Hikvision Panel DSPWA32

1. We go to the web address of our Hikvision alarm panel and enter the username and password that we have assigned to be able to log in.

2. Once inside the alarm panel configuration, we position ourselves in the part of “Communication parameters – Alarm receiving center.” And we configure it according to the following parameters:

Protocol Type: AMD-CID
Domain Name: Public IP or Domain Name where your monitoring center is located
Port Number: Port defined in your monitoring center
Subscriber code: Account number registered in DT42
Transmission Mode: TCP

We finish by clicking on the save button.

3. To activate the notifications that we want to receive in our monitoring center, select section “Communication parameters – Message notifications” in the “Alarm receiving center” tab and enable each of the desired notifications. Click “Save.”

Hikvision – Send emails through Gmail

The article explains how to create the application password to be able to send emails.

Within the account settings, select “security” and then the option “Application Passwords”.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Two-step verification must be activated, if this option is not enabled, it is necessary to carry out the activation process before proceeding.

Once the “Application passwords” option is selected, it will ask to enter the email password to continue

It is necessary to select the type of application for which it will be used, in this case “Other (custom name)” is selected.

In this way you can place the name of the application, for example, issues in this case the name “DVR” is used, you can use whatever the user wants, it is just an identifier.

When you press the next button, the application password to be used will appear, the 16-character password that is in yellow are the ones to be used.

Once these characters have been registered, enter the recorder configuration to configure the mail and place the corresponding data

Sender: Sender alias
Sender’s address: email that will be used to send the email
SMTP server: smtp.gmail.com
SMTP port: 587
Username: email that will be used to send the email
Password: previously created application password

Hikvision Alarms – Receive notifications via email with the alarm panel

It is possible to receive notifications from the alarm detectors by email, for this it is necessary to enter the IP of the alarm panel through a browser. Within the configuration, enter the option “Communication parameters” in the sub-menu of “Email video of the event”, and fill in the data.
This may vary depending on the email service provider, in case of using Gmail you need to create an application password as shown in the article “Hikvision – Sending emails through Gmail”
After filling in the data, you have to save the changes and do the communication test.

If communication exists the following message will appear:

Now once a detector is activated a notification will be sent to your email

Hikvision Alarms – Link a camera to the alarm panel

Two cameras can be linked to the alarm panel, you can have video when a sensor is activated. To enable this feature access your panel through its IP address via browser.

We recommend using this feature only with IP cameras, if you add a camera that is linked to a DVR/NVR adding the IP from the DVR/NVR we can’t guarantee its operation, it is only necessary to select the channel to be added, as shown in the following screen.

Once the device is added, the connection status will appear as connected.

To link it to one of the detectors, you have to enter the “Wireless device” tab in the Zone sub-menu, here in the zone (device) that you want to add the camera you have to click on the gear icon.

In the option “Video channel number …” select the channel of the added camera.

This will enable app notifications on your mobile devices.

The alert corresponding to the type of sensor will appear, and you can click on the “View” button.

And with this, the image from the camera will be displayed.

Hikvision Alarms – Receive notifications via SMS

Some models of Hikvision alarm panels are compatible with SIM cards and can communicate with monitoring centers or notify a mobile device directly. For this, it is necessary to configure the APN according to the contracted company, (for this example a Telcel SIM was used).

The “Message notification” section is where you add the information of the device in which you want to receive notifications. Enter the phone number, select the SMS option and activate the types of notifications you want to receive.

Once an event or sensor is activated, it will be received by means of an SMS message to the phone that has been configured.

Hikvision Alarms – Add remote control to the alarm panel

To add remote control it is necessary to access the panel through the Hik-connect application. On the bottom we have the options for zones and wireless devices, click on the “plus” icon.

When the camera option selects the option “Add remote control”.

The following screen will appear indicating that it is necessary to press any button on the control.

Once the device is detected, the application will ask us to give the control a nickname.

We can verify that the control was added on the “Wireless Device” tab.

Hikvision Alarms – Add PIR sensor to the alarm panel

To add detectors such as a PIR sensor it is necessary to access the control panel through the Hik-connect application. At the bottom are the options for zones and wireless devices, you have to click on the “plus” icon.

With your mobile device camera, scan the QR code that comes on the label of the sensor.

Click in “Select Connection type” to define which device will be connected.

Select “Detector”.

Add the device by clicking on “Add”.

You can see the detector added in the “Zone” section, all the added zones will appear.

By clicking on the added zone you can confirm the type of detector, in this case “Passive infrared detector” (PIR sensor).

Hikvision Alarms – Add magnetic contact to the alarm panel

To add detectors such as a magnetic contact, it is necessary to enter the panel through the Hik-connect application. At the bottom are the options for zones and wireless devices, you have to click on the “plus” icon.

With the mobile device’s camera, scan the QR code that comes on the contact tag.

Click on “Select connection type” to be able to define which equipment is the one to be connected.

Select option “Detector”.

Add the device by clicking “Add”.

You can see the detector added in the “Zone” section, all the added zones can be seen from here.

By clicking on the added area you can confirm the type of detector, in this case, “Magnetic contact”.

Hikvision Alarms – Configure the Hikvision alarm panel via PC

To change the panel’s network configuration, it is necessary to enter the panel through the IP from a browser. From this software, you can configure both the wired network and the Wi-Fi network.

Network via cable

  1. Enter the “network via cable tab”
  2. Place the data with which you want to work on the wired network.
  3. Click on “Save”

Network via Wi-Fi

  1. Enter the “Wi-Fi” option.
  2. Write the SSID of the modem to which the panel will connect and the password of the modem (It is recommended to do it manually to avoid communication conflicts).
  3. Click on “Save”

NOTE: The panel only supports communication Wi-Fi for 2.4 GHz it does not support 5 GHz communication.

If the procedure was done properly, in the list of available networks it will change from “Connect” to “Disconnect” (to see the change reflected, sometimes it is necessary to change the tab and re-enter).

Hikvision Alarms – How to register the panel on the Hik-connect application

This article will explain how to register an alarm panel in the Hik-connect app

Connect the device to its power supply and turn it ON, it is required to scan the panel’s QR code, it is located on the panel’s sticker, scan the QR code through the Hik-connect app.

As the device has not been configured, it will request a network connection

For this purpose, it is required that your smartphone is connected to a Wi-Fi network, this way your mobile device can share the credentials.

Activate the panel in AP mode. On the back of the panel is the switch to make the change.

The equipment will detect the network to which the mobile device is connected, verify that the data is correct and go to the next step.

Follow the steps as indicated in the picture. Connect the mobile device to the Wi-Fi network generated by the panel, the password is “AP” followed by the verification code, for example “APABCDEF” (replace “ABCDEF” with the verification code).

Within the mobile device configuration locate the panel network and enter the credentials.

Once connected to the panel network, return to the Hik-connect application.

Since the device has not been previously configured, it is necessary to activate it by entering a password of 8 to 16 alphanumeric characters, once a valid password has been placed, click on “Activate”.

Once the panel is activated, it is necessary to switch the panel to STA mode.

Wait till the panel is connected to the Wi-Fi network.

NOTE: In case the equipment does not connect to the network, it is necessary to connect the LAN network cable and configure it manually by following the procedure below: Configure the network of the Hikvision alarm panel via PC.

At the end of the process the application will allow you to change the name of the equipment, you can leave it by default, such as the model followed by the serial number.

You will be able to see all the devices added to the Hik-connect account, both alarm panels and cameras and recorders.

Upon entering the panel, the following interface will be displayed, which will allow total arm, home arm and disarm.
