Hikvision Alarms – Reset arming and disarming code through a keypad

For this example, we are using model DS-PKA-WLM

To be able to use arming and disarming via code it is necessary to have a keypad (DS-PKA-WLM). Within the panel configuration, the password will be assigned to the user.
Go to: User Management – User – Add

To create the user it is necessary to fill in the requested information.
The password to access the panel and the keypad must be different, the keypad password can only be numerical.

It is also necessary to assign a partition to which this user will correspond or have access with these credentials, as well as the user’s permissions.

The panel supports a silent alarm code, this is generated by default when creating a keypad password for a user. This threat code will be + 1 or – 1 of the original password, example: if the password is 123456 the silent alarm code will be valid as 123455 or 123457. This password will allow disarm the alarm system while at the same time it will send a notification to the application to be able to take corresponding actions.

Hikvision Alarms – Link a camera to the alarm panel

Two cameras can be linked to the alarm panel, you can have video when a sensor is activated. To enable this feature access your panel through its IP address via browser.

We recommend using this feature only with IP cameras, if you add a camera that is linked to a DVR/NVR adding the IP from the DVR/NVR we can’t guarantee its operation, it is only necessary to select the channel to be added, as shown in the following screen.

Once the device is added, the connection status will appear as connected.

To link it to one of the detectors, you have to enter the “Wireless device” tab in the Zone sub-menu, here in the zone (device) that you want to add the camera you have to click on the gear icon.

In the option “Video channel number …” select the channel of the added camera.

This will enable app notifications on your mobile devices.

The alert corresponding to the type of sensor will appear, and you can click on the “View” button.

And with this, the image from the camera will be displayed.

Hikvision Alarms – Receive notifications via SMS

Some models of Hikvision alarm panels are compatible with SIM cards and can communicate with monitoring centers or notify a mobile device directly. For this, it is necessary to configure the APN according to the contracted company, (for this example a Telcel SIM was used).

The “Message notification” section is where you add the information of the device in which you want to receive notifications. Enter the phone number, select the SMS option and activate the types of notifications you want to receive.

Once an event or sensor is activated, it will be received by means of an SMS message to the phone that has been configured.
